IHM Meeting Summary Mar 21 2019
Attended by Ben Webb and Brinda Vallat
-
entity.src_method
assumes that an entity comes from a unique source. However, this need not be true for I/H models. The crosslinking experiment may have used a different source compared to the EM experiment. This heterogeneity in source is currently not handled in the dictionary. -
It is also possible that the different experiments contributing spatial restraints used in the modeling used slightly different sequences (perhaps point mutations or N-terminal or C-terminal deletions). During modeling, the decision is made to apply these spatial restraints appropriately to the current molecular system. The dictionary assumes that these details will be captured in the primary data repository where the primary data belongs and only captures the spatial restraints as applied to the current molecular system.

entity_poly_seq.hetero
handles microheterogeneity in the sample by allowing a given sequence number to be correlated with more than one monomer. However, the requirement is that the correspondingATOM_SITE
entries should reflect this heterogeneity. -
Next meeting is on Thursday, March 28th 2019, at 9AM PT / 12PM ET / 5PM CEST.
