docs(#522): update README and CONTRIBUTING #537
base: gh-pages

Conversation
added the controlling group and the staff contact
Removed the reference to the Web Applications Working Group and made it a generic title.
Maybe it would make sense to keep a history section, documenting which group was responsible for this when. |
That could be fun. Do you happen to know what the groups (and their dates) are? If not that might have to be a separate issue. |
I was hoping @scottaohara would 😇 |
loosely, it started under the W3C's HTML working group where Steve Faulkner created it. Then it became the web apps working group. Now it's under the ARIA working group. dates could be found by spelunking the commit log. i can do that at some point if @ZoeBijl doesn't want to do it (which would be reasonable - because of mentioned spelunking) |
i propose that we move that to a separate issue in that case. |
I've filed #538 |
@spectranaut can you verify that Daniel Montalvo is the staff contact? That’s the last check for this I think. |
@ZoeBijl yes, @daniel-montalvo is staff contact for the ARIA WG. |
@scottaohara do you know what to do about the IPR issue? If I click through I see I would need to join the WebApps WG. I guess my question is: shouldn’t this now be the ARIA WG?
|
@ZoeBijl I suspect @daniel-montalvo is the right person to look into this. |
@pkra you make an excellent point. @daniel-montalvo do you know what to do about the IPR issue on this PR? If I click through I see I would need to join the WebApps WG. I guess my question is: shouldn’t this now be the ARIA WG (which I am a member of)? |
Sorry about that @ZoeBijl I just need to figure out where in W3C space I need to update this so that it asks for the ARIA IPR instead. |
