Welcome to the official MapMIT page!!

MapMIT is an integrated campus mapping and event management platform developed for MIT Manipal, delivering comprehensive spatial awareness through interactive digital mapping, event visualization, and autonomous drone-based mapping capabilities. Initially conceived to address campus navigation challenges, the project has evolved into a sophisticated open-source solution that effectively integrates physical campus infrastructure with digital accessibility, enhancing the navigation experience for students, faculty, and visitors alike.

Integrated Campus Mapping and Event Management Platform

Overview:

The platform represents a synthesis of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology and contemporary web development frameworks, establishing a robust campus management infrastructure. MapMIT's architecture encompasses three fundamental components: interactive digital cartography, event management integration, and automated aerial mapping systems. The implementation leverages industry-standard GIS software in conjunction with specialized web mapping libraries and proprietary drone hardware configurations.
