The something went wrong banner usually happens when the cluster you are at cannot be reached (or the backend/server is not running). Please check the logs to see if there's anything useful to notice there.

The fetching release information shows up when starting the desktop app and should be normal.

The "Fetching release information..." does not disappear when there's no network connection. It should probably give up and disappear with a notice like "Trouble fetching new release notes".

I didn't try to reproduce the top bar issue yet.

I could not reproduce the top bar issue yet.

Maybe the top bar part has been fixed?

I already have a ReleaseNotes PR open... I'll add a fix in that one. #2144

@coolbit88 if you're still interested… I wonder if you could try the latest release?

if it’s still not working, maybe there’s something in the developer console. View menu -> Toggle Developer Tools -> click Console tab.
