Thanks for your PR but I think most people don't use that and I see no much benefit in it. Because when we merge this we could also add Dockerfiles, VSCode workspace settings, PhpStorm project settings, ...

I guess your main concern is about the issues with the Node version. We are aware of that and will fix it in the future.

There are a lot of reasons why this PR should be more strongly considered.

First off, it encourages further use of the framework by reducing the barriers to entry.
Second, if we added GitPod than users wouldn't need to install node on their machine or anything.
Third, have a minimal, non-opinionated, pre-configured environment that is optimized for collaboration and maintaining a framework.
Fourth, if people find a bug for example, they can replicate it in GitPod and share the shapshot when they file an issue.
Anyone can they access the shapshot, see the bug and help fix it rather than not being able to reproduce it.

Not going to advertise for a product that costs.

The same can be achieved with pure Docker or ddev which are both completely free solutions.

I'm not advertising a product, there are free tiers and it can be self-hosted.

This is hepful for maintainers (which is mainly me at the moment) but not for regular users / developers who do not contribute to opensource projects in general.

Still, I see no real benefits for end users who normally already have their dev environment set up to work with Node and all the tools they need (nvm and so on).
