The Warlord piece proved to be too strong.
Yes, the Warlord is supposed to be the strongest on the field, untakable and taking all, but to protect against the Warlord, you'd need to divert your pieces, and well essentially that would mean the Warlord moved n spaces for every 1 space n pieces could move, so it could be used to simply wipe the board.
There were a few options:
- Remove the Warlord
- Make it takable
- Adjust the speed advantage somehow
1 and 2 would've made the game completely different. 3 actually the solves the problem. In v2, the rules state that you can either move the Warlord OR move 3 pieces, one of type. This counters the speed advantage of the Warlord.
