Why did bother to write this macro?
Why is this strange error message displayed when I insert the macro?
Isn't this un-wikish?
Why provide markdown support when we already have a rich text editor?
Well exactly, digital-signature is situated on the warp between the world of wiki, where everyone can always edit anything and the world of compliance and contracts.
We want to ensure that ...
- Nobody can modify a signed document or cut-and-paste a signature to a different document.
- Nobody can withdraw a signature or change its date.
Therefore all signed content needs to go into the macro title and body. We reduced the macro body from full confluence features to markdown without links and embedded HTML, because we must ensure that from one page load to the other the content stays the same.
But most important there needs to be content, other wise you a giving a blank signature.
