Official 2.0.0 Release
Official 2.0.0 release! 🎉
Nothing significant has happened lately and I feel like DecAPI is at a state where it's stable enough to have proper releases (to be honest it has been for a while).
In general, it doesn't mean much, but I feel like it should've been done ages ago.
From now on I'll try to tag release/versions as often as possible (as long as there are changes).
2.0.0 doesn't mean that it's in perfect shape or anything and should be looked at a starting point for various changes coming up ahead.
For the most part I'll try my best to follow semantic versioning, which is hopefully not too hard 🙃
Changelog
Together with this release I've also started a changelog on the documentation website. You can find it under docs.decapi.me/changelog.
Notes
- Why 2.0.0 and not 1.0.0?
- In case anyone is wondering why I chose 2.0.0, it's because I consider 1.0.0 to be the closed-source, super old version and it hasn't been actively used for years at this point.
- It's the codebase that still lives on some server somewhere and for the most part doesn't even work anymore (as it's using Twitch API v3).
- I still consider it to be part of DecAPI's legacy, as this open-source version wouldn't exist without the old "V1".
