Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Node.js installed on your local environment
• MongoDB installed and running locally or accessible via MongoDB Atlas

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/yourusername/wisdom-wagon.git
   cd wisdom-wagon

2. Install dependencies for both frontend and backend:

   # Install backend dependencies
   cd backend
   npm install
   
   # Install frontend dependencies
   cd ../frontend
   npm install

Configuration

1. Backend Configuration:

   • Create a .env file in the backend directory and add the following environment variables:

     DATABASE=mongodb://localhost:27017/wisdom-wagon
     RAZORPAY_KEY_ID=<Your_Razorpay_Key_ID>
     RAZORPAY_SECRET=<Your_Razorpay_Secret>
     

2. Frontend Configuration:

   • Update the Razorpay configuration in CoursePage.js with your Razorpay key details:

     let options = {
       key: "<Your_Razorpay_Key_ID>",
       // Other Razorpay options
     };

Running the Application

1. Start the backend server:

   cd backend
   node \index.js

   The server should start on http://localhost:3000.

2. Start the frontend development server:

   cd frontend
   npm start

   The frontend should open automatically in your default browser at http://localhost:3001.

Usage

• Browse courses, view details, add them to the cart, and proceed to checkout.
• Explore different categories and search for courses by name.
• Login or signup to manage your profile and access purchased courses.
