here are some things that could be done to improve performance:

Static rendering
Chunk splitting by route
Chunk splitting for other components that load conditionally
preloads
Fix buildpack so my prerenders display on the correct route
Get Search to prerender

requires eject:

vendor chunks
common chunks
lodash-webpack-plugin
