Can't leave default group chats #50

They are supposed to come back after each login, not each restart. The log off button erases your local settings. So if you log off and log in, they will come back. But if you simply close the app and reopen, they should not return. |
Well currently it's enough to restart the app AFAICT - the way I reproduced it was just hitting the window switcher button on Android and closing the window, after leaving the group. |
Seems fixed since a few updates ago |
Seems like this issue still exists for me in v0.79.13. |
Doing more testing, the "Leave" button works if I create a new account, but it doesn't work for an existing account. |
Very interesting. Can you share your npub? I can then see how it was stored in your account. |
My npub is listed here: http://andyschroder.com/contact/ . |
ohh.. Interesting. Since you are not following anyone, the act of unfollow doesn't work. This exists as a protection against people overriding their follow list with an empty one when the app cannot find their contact list. You can create a contact list by following somebody or by clicking Post in the relay screen. |
Seems kind of weird to require following something in order to be able to unfollow something else. Seems to me like it would be better to have a warning prompt instead saying that the app can't find any follow list, are they sure they want to overwrite it with an empty one. |
Hello, I'd like to be able to leave the default Nostr and Amethyst Users chat groups. Right now you can leave them but you rejoin as soon as the app restarts.
