Feature request: media filters

It would be great to have a special search modifier to filter for images and videos, possibly also gifs and other media types.

Something along the lines of:

• type:image or type:video or
• filetype:gif and similar, as Google does it

Simple bubble buttons below the search field would also do the trick. Might be easier to implement (and way easier to discover and use for most people) than full fledged search modifiers. I'm thinking of an UI element like this (without the [x] to remove the button):

Gotta say... I hate disabling features because we can't find a good implementation for them.

Is there something bugging you (like video reloading) or just is this about data bandwidth?

Maybe I worded this poorly.

I want to have the option to see all images (only images, nothing else) of my global feed and/or of the people I follow.

A search modifier or filter would do the trick.
