Feature Request: Each sensor to have separate label & unit

For each sensor, separate unit and label with independent color pallet would make it neat.
Currently using Appearance Format like "Temperature %.1f C"

Also found that for each sensor we have to create independent metric.
can we have one single metric fetching multiple fields from InfluxDB and use each field in the sensors?
Is this possible as per Grafana design?
I feel fetching separate metric for each sensor will be performance intensive.
