All in one sensor not detecting if door is open #1002
Comments
You could start by sending me some debug around the time you open and close the door. |
Hi Steve, I looked. Even though logging was enabled, no entries were made.

- does it show opening and closing on the Arlo web page
<https://my.arlo.com/#/home> for the account you are using with *HA*.
- does the account have admin access?

What are your debug logging settings? |
logger: |
I'm at a loss to be honest, I don't have one of the device so I can't check it here. Are you seeing other debug output? Can you post an example here? |
No worries, Steve! I've had to move on from trying to get it to work. As
far as the sensor goes, it is working as expected within the Arlo
ecosystem. The security aspects with Arlo were its main use.
Integrating with Home Assistant was the icing on the cake if I could get it
to work.
If anything changes, I'll let you know. Thanks for all of your efforts!!

Hi Steve, I don't know if this helps or not, but I have two other users (besides myself) set up for access to my Arlo security system, my wife and "home assistant." The "home assistant" user is what I tied to your integration. I've noticed that neither my wife's account nor the "home assistant" accounts are seeing updates from the sensors. So, this is probably why the integration is failing for me. It was working at one point, but has stopped now. So, thank you ARLO! ARGH! I'm working with ARLO to figure out what's going on. |
You can use the main account with Home Assistant. The only thing to remember is you can't use the same account in 2 places, they will fight with each other for control, this is an Arlo limitation. Specifying using a secondary account just made it easier to explain to people. |
Thanks, it’s probably not a workable solution to use the same account, as I
look at the app frequently and understand the “fight” aspect.

I have an all one in sensor tied to a door and is monitoring open/close. It works fine on the arlo app but fails in Home Assistant (it just always says "closed"). Any ideas how to fix this?
