Plugin approach to set the base for monetization and increased community collaboration

The other day we started the discussion about implementing a Plugin approach for Torrust. An approach similar to the one used by Wordpress. In essence we would have to prepare the base of our software, the core, to be easily extended through plugins.
The idea is that through this approach we could:

• Encourage development
• Grow our community
• Make it interesting for people who have forked to come back and contribute directly to the Torrust project
• Set the base for future expansion and possible venues for generating paid plugins for anyone contributing or even us.
