Hi there, bit of an odd question:
I'm working on an undergraduate research project to compare the effectiveness of various kinds of web application honeypots, focusing on quantifying the importance of dynamic responsiveness to their success. I'm hoping to compare a static web application honeypot, a Tanner/Snare honeypot, and a Glastopf honeypot, using T-Pot as a standard management platform for each of them.
Toward this goal, I've been attempting to stand up a Glastopf honeypot using T-Pot, but I have not been successful yet. I initially tried to install T-Pot 19.03 on a Debian 9 virtual machine hosted on AWS, and quickly ran into issues implementing T-Pot due to significant changes in dependencies (such as Python 2 to Python 3).
I'm now exploring the possibility of running a Glastopf container within the latest T-Pot release. Does this sound feasible, or is there another approach to integrate Glastopf into T-Pot that y'all would recommend? While I recognize this involves working with a deprecated honeypot, I think its inclusion could improve my research. Thanks in advance! :D
