There is a bug with virtualbox. But I wonder if it can possibly be resolved through Homestead startup scripts. It's documented in here:

https://smhk.net/note/2024/05/vm-freezing-at-loading-essential-drivers/

Sometimes system freezes and you need to open virtualbox console and quickly pause and unpause several times in order for the system to load. I wonder if it might be possible to detect this freeze and pause/unpause from ruby script or whatever launches Homestead.

Thank you!

@inwoker have you encountered this? I haven't encountered this, BUT mine is a different scenario. my VM won't bootup properly IF I don't open up Virtual Box application, it gets stuck if I don't open Virtual Box, this has been happening for months but I'm just ignoring it hahaha

I'm not sure if this is related to this, since I haven't checked the logs or the VM screen when booting, I'll probably take a look at this and my issue, may it's related.

@skeeith Yes, I encounter this on almost every launch. That's why I searched and found the link.

I'll try to open Virtuabox application before launching 'vagrant up' and see if it resolves the bug
