Trackpad input broken/useless on iPad Pro w/ Magic Keyboard

When viewing a note full screen (sidebar minimized), using the trackpad to select text or place the cursor doesn't work. The mouse indicator jumps all over the place, making it completely impossible to use. This problem does not happen when the sidebar is visible. I made a screen recording showing my attempts to use the cursor. See how it jumps erratically? That's how it behaves. If I attempt to hover over the title for example, it jumps back and forth. Attempting to click and place doesn't place the line marker anywhere near where I try to place it.
