JPGs imported from Evernote show up in Android and web clients, but error in Windows client

As the title says, I do an import from Evernote (using the recommended process) of a note that has an attached jpg image.
That image shows up as expected in the NN Andorid and web clients. But on the WIndows NN client, the image isn't there and an error shows stating: "Failed to download attachment: (error: A requested file or directory could not be found at the time an operation was processed.)" (see attached screen grab)

Perhaps this is because I have a Basic (not Pro) account? Odd that the image renders on some but not all clients.
