Readme.md links to the following recommendation for randomization - Randomization in contracts link returns 404:

Defense Method
True random numbers cannot be generated on the EOS. It is recommended to refer to the official example when designing a random class application.

Randomization in Contracts

I can't find the replacement for it though so it may no longer be recommended at all
