This study took place at two sites on a shallow water (< 50 ft) rocky reef just outside of Nanaimo Harbour in the Strait of Georgia on the Pacific Coast of Canada.
One site was located within the Northumberland Rockfish Conservation Area (RCA) and the other was located just outside the protected area.
