Question about WLED flags

Hey not sure if I should ask this here or not I'll gladly be guided. My question is do the flag LEDs work only when there are other players in the race or if I'm online? Because I loaded everything up, tested that wled was working with simhub using the test flags then when I entered the track the LEDs turned off and when I got a yellow flag nothing happened.

They should work regardless of the being online or with other players. Could you tell me which game it is you're playing - perhaps even send me a replay of the game in question so that I can take a look locally?

I'm playing ACC and I will definitely send something over today. But essentially when I load up the track the lights go dark which tells me there's some kind of communication but then there's no activity during the race from there.

I think ACC doesn't do a full track yellow, but instead by individual sectors - and it's likely the fact I'm not responding to that in the plugin. Pop a replay over, I'll confirm and update the plugin to react to those individual sectors if that's the case. 👍🏻

I just had a look at the updated plugin. Fantastic work! Is there any way to still retain the functionality from the previous plugin? And have the option to switch between the 2? Because it was really awesome that you could have any effect you wanted to display flags. The animations for checkard flag and the ability to set up presets in wled was awesome. Unless you have plans to do something similar via the current method.

Because for at least flags the native wled effects would also enable us yo set up a matrix that can even display the text "black flag"

At the moment, when you connect to WLED via the live protocol, that's all that will work with it. Any JSON messages (how the previous one was setup) will be ignored. I've got some more digging to do as to whether it's feasible to do something like the existing LED editors in SimHub, which would be just as powerful as the preset options in WLED. But that's very much work in progress!
