Try to check out
http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/slides-mymaps-gdd2008/slides
under Windows.

Checkout fails when SVN is trying to write file "gdata:readonly"

You cannot use a colon in a filename on Windows. (Windows XP)
