# Welcome {-}
This is the official website for the book [Earth Engine with R](https://rgeebook.netlify.app/). The book is
intended for R users who wish to learn how to use R and [Google Earth Engine](https://earthengine.google.com/) in the same workflow. There is a full overview of the GEE API functionality, multiple real-world applications, and a detailed description
of all [rgee](https://github.com/r-spatial/rgee) and [rgeeExtra](https://github.com/r-earthengine/rgeeExtra/) features. The majority
of the examples are directly adapted from the original [Earth Engine documentation](https://developers.google.com/earth-engine/guides) and rebuilt in R.

When was the last time you couldn't remember a specific GEE API method name?. We understand! It occurs to us often, and we lose valuable time deviating in the [official documentation](https://developers.google.com/earth-engine/apidocs). To prevent this from happening, we create [**rgee-cheatsheet**](https://github.com/r-earthengine/cheatsheet) with the most important rgee and GEE features that you should always keep in mind. If you want to contribute, open an [issue](https://github.com/r-earthengine/cheatsheet) in our official repository.
