[Feature request] Make user options, save them in a cookie

I've seen some changes on pepy recently (very wide main window, * as a default). I like the older version much more.

It would be good to implement user-defined tweaks so that people would be able to choose whether to opt-in (or opt-out) of such things. For instance, I wouldn't want to see * in the stats.
