Hi there,
I have a question concerning the naming conventions of custom attributes that - as of today - are not yet part of the specification.
The attribute naming conventions state that for such cases, companies should use
com.acme.shopname
as attribute namespaces, basically resorting to a reverse domain syntax.I am with SAP, whose websites usually end on
sap.com
. However, we also have a delegation record registered for.sap
.Generally, we would prefer just the
sap.
prefix, rather thancom.sap.
but would that be ok from your (OTEL's) point of view? Thanks and best regards!
