Borg Backup Size

Hi,

i switched to the aio image and am happy about it.
Still I've got a question regarding the backup size of the borg archive.

previously, I did a manual borg backup of my nextcloud folder (from single nextcloud container).

I have around 1TB of data and the Archive of the "old" installation is about 1.2TB with 6 months retention.

The AIO has done only two backups until now, but my archive is already 1.5TB in size.

Where can i edit the borg params to e.g. set the --save-space option?
Do you have an idea on why this happens? Is deduplication not enabled?

EDIT: To be clear: I have two archives. One "old" with 1.2 TB and the new from AIO with 1.5TB

Today i got the Info that the backup failed. Checking the logs indicated that my backup drive was full (no space left on device errors).

BUT! My Nextcloud data folder is still Just 800GB and after 2 and a half Backups (2 and a half days), 2TB were filled on my Backup drive...

Can you post the output of sudo docker inspect nextcloud-aio-borgbackup here?

Also which optional addons do you have enabled via the AIO interface?

Possibly you run into the same problem like the user in #2696 (reply in thread) then?

Uff... Could be the case - need to test.
My previous installation was on the same drive but in the /mnt/user/appdata/nextcloud subdirectory.
Now, /mnt/user/nextcloud is one of the "root Folders" on my BTRFS Cache Drive...

Strange that this is an issue since i did not use the btrfs snapshot functionality.

Do you think, that the same behaviour would exist with zfs?

All right - I added a new SSD to my Server, formatted it as ZFS, moved the Nextcloud folder onto it (and just to be sure - moved all files into a nextcloud/data/ subdirectory).
First Backup went well - will see if this is solved tomorrow in the morning.

My Problem seems to be solved!

The second backup today did not increase the size of the borg repo!
