Inconsistency on vehicle weight. (infernus feels heavier) #3926
Comments
Maybe it's related to gravity ? |
i have been having the same problem for a while now and kinda effects my gameplay |
I've had the same problem aswell in Racing Gamemode HDM sometimes my car behaves like its on 100 fps physics and sometimes at 30 fps physics |
When did this start being noticed? |
its happening with me too and its really annoying i hope we come up with a solution.. it happens day after day like come on.. |
i have been having the same problem and its really annoying ngl. |
I remember a few players mentioning this theory around 2019-2020. Although it wasn’t very popular at the time, some players had already started noticing differences in the weight of their Infernus. |
I've encountered a similar issue when playing Shooter gamemode, and I believe it might be related to RAM usage. If a significant amount of RAM is already being used before launching the game, it seems to make the car feel heavier and harder to control. I know this because I used a program called 'Razer Cortex,' which temporarily stops some background processes and restarts them after the gaming session. When I tried this, the Infernus vehicle became significantly lighter and much easier to control. |
Sounds like a problem with code that modifies the handling of the Infernus. Never ran into this issue, haven't heard about it either on any other servers. |
Describe the bug
The bug I’m describing is primarily noticeable on racing servers (especially on Shooter Game Mode)
This issue is quite strange, and we have no clear idea of what triggers it. The only thing we do know is that, occasionally, when we join a server, our car (Infernus) feels noticeably different in terms of weight. Most of the time, it feels heavier, but on a different game launch or another day, the car suddenly feels lighter. For years, I believed this was just a placebo effect. However, recently, a growing number of experienced players have been complaining about it. Some have even stopped playing due to the inconsistency, as it significantly affects their vehicle's performance, especially in competitive matches.
Additionally, while we all play on the same server, we've noticed the weight discrepancy on different servers as well.
Steps to reproduce
we have no idea.
Version
Multi Theft Auto v1.6-release-22849 (Windows 10, 64-bit)
Multi Theft Auto v1.6-release-22829 (Windows 11, 64-bit)
and few more, probably.
Additional context
Additionally, while we all play on the same server, we've noticed the weight discrepancy on different servers as well.
here's an thread from 2023 in MTA Forum mentioning the same problem: https://forum.multitheftauto.com/topic/141859-heavy-handling/
Some players reported having the same issue with Hunter, the military helicopter, which is also widely used in Deathmatch, Oldschool and Hunter arenas on racing servers.
