Just replicated this on 2.7, basically if media file (e.g. uploaded mp4) has been added to the new wiki page using "Insert Moodle media" in the editor, then media is working fine when the page is previewed or after it is saved. If you attempt to "edit" page, change nothing and save, the link will still be on the page, but the file is no longer available, thus playing error. This is seem an issue when I edit existing page and add media file (that has been uploaded to Moodle) to it, the file will no longer be available after saving (the link will remain on the page).

When I say "playing error", the filter rendering errors can be eliminated here, the fundamental problem is that the saved link leads to file that does not exist, no matter what player is used. When new wiki page is saved, the file exists, when edited (or added to editing page), then the file link leads to "Sorry, the requested file could not be found" page.
