Description

Run a Fediverse instance for discussion, focused on the MLP fandom.

Current plans

Orchestration

  • Select a server implementation.
    • Choice: Lemmy.
    • Reason: Light on resources.
  • Select a generic location of deployment.
    • Choice: Somewhere in the EU.
    • Reason: Respects privacy, next-to-non-existent mass surveillance.
  • Privacy policy. (thanks "Amedeo", azureenigma, Shadow Glider for reviewing!)
  • Acceptable usage policy. (thanks Shadow Glider for reviewing!)
  • Terms of service.
  • Strips and/or generalizes visitor information for anti-tracing.
  • (optional) Utilizes internal multi-hop routing for anti-tracing.
  • Accepts access from mixnets/overlay networks for anti-tracing and/or prevention of surveillance on users.
  • Make the database resistant to single points of failure (high-availability). (help wanted)
  • Distribute the load of static content delivery on mixnet. (help wanted)

Community

  • Draft a democratic approach to election, moderation and management.
  • Start a bi-weekly/weekly thread promoting Fediverse artists and their works of art.

Scratched plans

  • Encrypt the database to prevent possible unauthorized data extraction. (help wanted)

Alright, the base ToS, AUP and privacy policy are here... Just subject to possible changes proposed by anyone.

Save my sanity please. Why does the EU require these?
