SDL_CreateTray doesn't seem to support (NULL, NULL) or SDL_Surface when being called in Linux. #12246

Can you post a minimal example and what you expect to happen?

Currently, the system tray requires AppIndicator to be installed on the system, and the desktop environment to have the appropriate extensions installed. Have you checked that you have both of them?

There is some work to write a DBus implementation that would be more portable, but it's not done yet.

I've found #12252, but that causes issues only with the icon being NULL, not with a valid SDL_Surface.
