I have an iphone 15 pro that was working fine, i decided to update manuallly to ios18 using itunes and it got stuck after a while. After 5 hours of waiting i decided to restore it again via DFU but it didn't work. I'm stuck with this dead phone that won't restore and looking at the logs it seems like this baby is spitting out write errors all over the place. Thing is, it was working on iOS 17 just fine and was able to restart and use the phone without problems.
I'll attach here the logs. May it be that through the update the nand has given up? if that's the case i might try and change it myself even i will risk on permanently destroying the phone.
Things that i've tried:
-Using iOS 18 (betas and not betas)(from 18.0 when it was released in october up to the lastest firmware)
-Using 3 different macs
-Using apple original USBC cable (even the macbook ones)
-Using 3 different Windows PC's
-Changing the USBC port (useless purchase as it was obviously unrelated)
I really don't have any ideas as why this has happened now and not in the middle of using the phone.
the final error is:Code:-1 Error:AMRestorePerformRestoreModeRestoreWithError failed with error: -1
