Hi, Im freelance graphic designer.

I just look at your project, and unfortunately I do not see the identity there. I want to contribute to your project. I can create a new logo for your. What do you think? :)

Hi. Sure, you are welcome to propose a logo for the project. As the project is a library, the logo would only really appear in documentation and on the website. What license would you consider providing the logo under?

If you have questions as to the scope of the project or anything else, let me know. Otherwise, let me know what you are considering.

Yeah sure, its okay. I just do my hobby on graphic design. Probably I use CC BY maybe, its ok for you?

Ohh, I just want to know maybe we can brief a little bit like what kind of logo do you want, color recommendation, or other ideas maybe you can share? So, we can get the best results.

How would you suggest the attribution would work? Could it be in the AUTHORS file with an entry saying that you contributed the icon?

I'll probably not be too helpful here. There were a few other projects I started and a few people were interested in contributing a logo. In those situations all I really could do is define what the project's goals were and if I liked the proposed logo or not.

I can say that the project's goal is to provide a software library which is used to test other software. More specifically, Check is a unit testing software for C. Perhaps a logo could convey the idea of checking/testing software? Not sure how to best convey that, though.

Maybe you can mention my name in the readme file only as a contributor or something. Sorry I still do not really understand about open source licenses in Github, maybe you can advise me what license is suitable for me? because I only suggest logo for your project, and you can use it if you like.

I think that CC-BY is fine. The contributors to the project are listed in the AUTHORS file, and I think that would be fine if you are OK with it. Additionally, a COPYING file can be added for the icon which will state that it is released under CC-BY and attributes you as the creator.

Hi @brarcher , this is me @anaufalm, I just want to inform you that I lost my account few weeks ago, so sad and I use this account for now, thank you. And sorry just responding to your message now, I was very busy last month with my studies. And now I can focus on contributing.

Additionally, a COPYING file can be added for the icon which will state that it is released under CC-BY and attributes you as the creator.

Yes, I have no problem with that, I will make it asap, please wait. :)

Hi, Im so sorry. I have designed it for a long time but forgot to give you progress.

Here is, what do you think?

C : first letter of C heck, and also for C++ logo (made by C logo construction)
🔍: searching / checking symbol

My point is to make negative space logo with letter C and the magnifying icon, where the magnifying becomes hidden behind the letter C. Both of logo is negative space, but first logo with negative magnifying and second logo with negative C

I am not the one to make that decision, but I prefer the first one.

Hi @naufaldsg. These logos look great! Thank you so much for your effort. Also, apologies for taking so long to respond.

I think I like this one the most:

What do you think? If this was contributed to the project, how were you thinking it might be used? For example, there is a project website and the README is also like another website. There is also some pdf documentation that is generated, which this might be nice in.

What should we do to move forward with this? What file format would you be contributing it in, and would we be able to generate various sizes of the image from that file? Would you be contributing the logo file in a pull request, or posting the files in this conversation?
