<h1>Diploma</h1>

<p>Diploma is basically a technical course learning platform. The Diploma courses are ideal for students who wish to build their career in technical fields.The Diploma is a short-term course generally of 2 or 3 years which mainly focus on training students in a particular field. The admission to diploma course can be taken after clearing high school examination (10th). A diploma is being done through a recognized university or an educational institution.

As per the latest trends, a large number of students are keen to get admission into diploma courses after 10th. The advantage of diploma courses is that the students can get complete knowledge and skills associated with a specific stream that is required in the industry. Due to the increasing demand, a variety of diploma courses have come up in India for students who have pass Class 10 and wish to take up a job-oriented course early in their career.</p>

<h2>Eligibility criteria</h2>
<ul style="list-style-type: disc">
<li>The student must have completed class 10th from a school that comes under a recognised board of education.</li>
<li>The aggregate score of the candidate in class 10th board exams must be at least 50%. Some relaxation in aggregate marks is provided at most of the colleges to the students belonging to reserved categories</li>
<li>The candidate must have received passing marks in all the subjects of class 10th.</li>
<li>The time duration is three years</li>

<h2>Board</h2>
<p>To help speed up the process of development of Technical Education, a Board in the name and style of "STATE BOARD OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING" was created vide G.O.Ms.No.371 Edn-dated 26.2.1957. The Joint Director (Technical Education) of DPI used to act as secretary of this newly formed Board. The Board is formed as a statutory body under the A.P. Education Act-1982 (act 1 of 1982), an act of assembly, in the present form, vide G.O.Ms.No.140 dated 24.4.1984.</p>

The candidates can also apply for lateral entry to Diploma(Polytechnic)through which they can get direct admission to second year of Polytechnic. Diploma(Polytechnic)Lateral Entry is for a total duration of 2 years. </p>
<p>The eligibility criteria which the candidates must fulfil for lateral entry to Diploma in Engineering are:</p>

<li>The candidate must have passed a degree in ITI from a recognized institute.</li>
