I have weird diagnostic messages

I dont get it. what does this even mean? what is the problem here anyway?

It means that the parser found a character it wasn't expecting, in this case it's the "o" in "or". I'm having a similar problem where errors are thrown on valid postgres syntax. I can't UPDATE FROM or INSERT INTO with a SELECT statement. I'm trying to figure out if it's a configuration problem or what
