How to change the title of the glossary?

I have been working on Latex since the beginning of this year, so sorry if this is a silly question. I searched on some forums and the solution to change the title of the glossary was: \printglossary[title={List of Abbreviations}], which I tried to add in the novathesis.cls in the part where '\printglossary' appears, but it doesn't seem to change anything.

Also, one more question regarding the glossary, the spacing between the words is "grouping" the ones that start with the same letter as the image shows, is there a way I can fix/avoid this?
