How to read parameters from my car? Any easy method?

You need Odis Online connection and restore Dataset and Coding. Then you can grab the file from filesystem

Im ready to buy a VCP set and im also ready to learn all of this to get it done, but i fail at the first step of getting the data via odis online as i dont have acces to it.

I won't be able to help much i guess - I found a guy with ODIS online access and he downloaded the xml file for me.

The one from ODIS had the correct START_ADDRESS.

I have used the templates and he successfully "flashed" the modified file for me - it is working as intended:

I do think the only way to get the file is the connect with ODIS to the car - so it needs to be direct access to the car.

Can you please share the steps for VCP or do we need other sw?

Try to request file with vctool dataset request service

Unfortunately it's not possible to "read" FPA dataset with any software.

I received mine with ODIS online.
