It would be great if the adapter would support TLS.

Sure! MQTT messages can be encrypted using the TLS protocol. Port 8883 is reserved for this purpose.
MQTT brokers such as Mosquitto provide SSL/TLS support for encrypted network connections and authentication.
However, MQTT clients such as ioBroker.owntracks must support this if the MQTT broker only allows encrypted connections. Hence my request.
