I am trying to detects a specific click from a clicker using a matrix voice so I installed ODAS web in order to see what the matrix sees. The sound is so sharp that It looks like the hits are all over the place. I'm guessing that this is being caused by echos. I thought a steep bandpass filter centered around the peak of the clicker at 3khz might help, but the matrix does not see anything at all now. I'm hoping that somebody who understands the ODAS algorithms better than me can explain why this is and maybe suggest a different course of action to tune the system to a specific beep or click instead of people talking in a room.
