Sending chat from android to non-android device?

hello and sorry if this was asked before.
is it possible to send chat message from android whisper to non-android device?
if yes then, how to set up the receiving end? i can only send chat from non-android device(raspberry pi in my case) to android ibrdtn whisper, but cannot send it from android to the raspberry pi.

i tried dtnrecv --name dtnReceiver but it didnt get anything when i tried to send a message from android whisper
