I'm working on getting FEBio built from source on a new system. It seems that it does not currently support installing to a alternative path using the cmake install command.
As a sanity check I verified that there install() is not called anywhere in the CMakeLists.txt file.
Is this something you would consider supporting? This would make supporting builds through standard mechanisms such as spack more convenient.

I've considered adding this functionality to our CMake script in the past, but since it wouldn't help us in our workflow, it hasn't been a priority. I've never even looked in to how the CMake install stuff works, and while I'm sure it's not complicated, I just haven't had time.
However, if you're familiar with it and would like to give it a go, then you can clone our repo, and then submit a pull request with the change that you'd like to see. Otherwise it may be some time before I get around to this.
