Companion Mod crashing on load #38
Comments
Thx for reporting. Did you use the BepInEx or Redloader version of the companion mod? |
I used the bepinex one, I didn't know there was a redloader version, I initially tried using vortex but had to just resort to manually installing it all |
Can you try the Redloader Version first? There is a chance that it will work right away, I didn't have time to test it yet, given that RedLoader itself did not work for about a week. You do need the newest version of RedLoader though. Moreover, the BepInEx-version is kind-of deprecated. |
Did you remove BepInEx before you tried the RedLoader version? Moreover, does the game start without any mods but the RedLoader itself? |
i removed bepin by removing the games folder and re installing it through steam to be sure nothing was left, launching with redloader on its own drops the same error code |
Okay so i did some tinkering, it appears Vortex was installing the older version of the RedLoader, despite the fact i gave it the updated version to download, so i manually downloaded it, and now it appears to boot just fine, i will test if the companion works now |
I just tested v0.8.2 of RedLoader with 1.0.2 of SOTFEdit Companion and 0.12.9 of SOTFEdit and it works flawlessly on my machine. |
When trying to use the companion mod in SOTF it prevents the game from starting, might need updating to align with the latest update
