1 - With secure boot and device guard active in the laptop's BIOS, Clear Linux does not start.
2 - In the installer, it did not offer the language pt br utf8. So after installing, I changed the language, and updated the entire distro. I used the installer in the recommended version, 41840, because the most recent one has kernel panic.
3 - The Performance, Balanced and economy modes do not appear in the distro.
4 - I didn't find the ufw, chromium, tuned, packages, using swupd command in the distro
5 - Some errors appeared in the Kernel (journalctl -b), such as:
ideapad_acpi VPC2004:00: Unknown keyboard type: 0
Bluetooth: hci0: HCI LE Coded PHY feature bit is set, but its usage is not supported.
clr-kernel: ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Could not resolve symbol [_TZ.ETMD],
AE_NOT_FOUND (20240827/psargs-332)
clr-kernel: ACPI Error: Aborting method _SB.IETM._OSC due to previous error (AE_NOT_FOUND) (20240827/psparse-529)
clr- kernel: i801_smbus 0000:00:1f.4: SMBus is busy, can't use it!
clr-systemd-vconsole-setup[639]: Failed to lock /dev/console: Input/output error
clr systemd[1]: Failed to start systemd-vconsole-setup.service.
clr systemd[1]: Failed to start colord.service.
clr-live gdm-password][1236]: gkr-pam: unable to locate daemon control file
(I updated the firmware with the firmware program, which has the verified seal. I installed it from the distro store itself, then used the command sudo swupd bundle-add firmware-update, because it said that fwupd was missing, so after researching, it recommended the firmware-update package.)
Question:
Is it possible to install Kde Plasma and completely remove Gnome, leaving only the libs, apps, Kde ecosystem, along with the necessary dependencies, telemetry, etc.?
Thank you in advance for your attention, always success
Also, regarding the "kernel panic", were you by any chance using Ventoy?
If so, during the boot, you just need to choose Grub2 and the most recent installer should start normally.
