LOGOUT: 500 error while logging out when the user was idle for some time

What is the problem?
Tested in Test App in Firefox

The user left a session open for around an hour. When they returned to the session and tried to log out, they got a 500 error (see screen recording) and could not log out. Only after closing the error and refreshing the page were they able to log out.

!I would add that I had been logging in and logging out of different user accounts in this session

Why is this a problem?
User could not log out

Possible solution.
User should have been able to log out
