We are using the free tier of Pingdom for checking nevergreen.io is available. That will cease to be free in February. We need to find another free way of checking it's availability.

I've set up a ServiceUptime account to monitor Nevergreen. The free account has the followng problems over PingDom:

  • Checks every 30 minutes, rather than 15 minutes with Pingdom
  • Can only notify one of each: email, SMS, webhook

@GentlemanHal do you want to get the SMS notification? Or is there a WebHook URL for sending alerts to Slack?

@joejag Given I've never seen any alerts when production stopped working due to the certificate (issue #14), I assume neither ServiceUptime or Pingdom are working anymore?

Do we want to try and put something back in place? Or are we happy to close this issue?
