@aws-cdk/aws-lambda-python-alpha.PythonLayerVersion can't bluid layer with requirements.txt and custom .py code

I can't figure out how to build a Lambda layer with a customer py script and dependencies for this script in a requirements.txt file.

Folder structure:

layer/utils/python/est_common.py
layer/utils/python/requirements.txt

and the CDK construct declaration:

    const CommonLambdaLayer = new cdk.aws_lambda.LayerVersion(this, "est-layer-utils" + id, {
        layerVersionName: "est-layer-utils",
        code: cdk.aws_lambda.Code.fromAsset("layer/utils"),
        compatibleRuntimes: [cdk.aws_lambda.Runtime.PYTHON_3_12],
        description: "Layer of reusable functions for EST Server",
        removalPolicy: cdk.RemovalPolicy.DESTROY,
        compatibleArchitectures: [cdk.aws_lambda.Architecture.X86_64, cdk.aws_lambda.Architecture.ARM_64]
    });

the Layer ZIP downloaded from the console contains the two files.
But common.py fails to import the dependencies

I found my own answer: stupidity!
I didn't use @aws-cdk/aws-lambda-python-alpha.PythonLayerVersion but dk.aws_lambda.LayerVersion which doesn't build the dependencies.
