This is a strange one and I've only had it once (that I've noticed) and unfortunately I thought logging was on at the time but it wasn't.
I was faffing around scanning subfolders of a folder which caused a crash (last time this happened I think it was because of a folder which had gone recursive) to determine which one was the actual problem, and the results of scanning one small folder came back with matches in a folder which wasn't in the list of folders to scan and wasn't even in the folder I was scanning subfolders of, it was another one I had already deduplicated earlier in the day.
I cleared the cache and redid the scan, same thing. I restarted the app, same thing. I removed the main folder from the list (I'd been doing the subfolders by changing their status from excluded to normal within it, there was nothing else in the list) and added the individual folder, still the same. It only stopped showing duplicates in that unlisted folder after I restarted the machine.
Expected behavior
To only show results from the folders which are added to the list to scan and not marked excuded.
Screenshots
Didn't think to take any, sorry.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
Windows 11 24H2, 64GB RAM, Ryzen 7 7800x3d 4.2GHz
Additional context
I don't know if it's relevant but I've also had issues with the status of folders in the list not updating. For example, if I change a folder from Excluded to Normal and then expand it, I'd expect the subfolders to have all changed to the same thing, but sometimes a few just don't change.
