Hi Behdad,
There are more issues with sources file than what you have just mentioned.
Ideally, I would like to do the following to both the Tamil and Latin
scripts:
1. Merge all the sources with brace layers
2. Clean up the design
3. Add kerning
4. Add true italics
5. Make it variable
I hope there will be some budgets allocated to fix it at some point.
