When clicking on Start, the npm install window appears, but nothing happens afterwards, and it's stuck there. I tried reinstalling, turing off antivirus, everything. I know someone raised a similar issue which ended up being antivirus related, but it doesn't seem the case this time.

I have explained the issue clearly, and I included all relevant info
Quickest close in my life. For anyone else at the end of their rope, try turning off antivirus, deleting 'node_modules' AND then run updateforkandstart. For some reason, this combo worked.
