Allows for both digital like bitcoin as for more traditional way of payment like a bank transfer

What is the current status of the proposal? Has it been furthered or adopted in any way?

Somewhat related to #185 which proposes to use the more commonly known bitcoin:175tWpb8K1S7NmH4... URI scheme.
